labelflow

Where the money actually went. On one page.

Most indie labels answer “did I pay this artist for that release?” by opening three spreadsheets and a PDF statement. Finance Module makes it one query: splits configured per release, payments tracked through to artist receipt, and distributor statements imported as line items you can actually search. Coming soon, not yet in the beta.

Three things, one place.

Splits, configured per release

Who gets what, set once on the release and inherited by every track on it. Producer, featured artist, remixer, the label share. Overrides where a track differs from the release default, because there is always one track that differs.

Payments tracked to receipt

A split is a promise; a payment is a fact. Finance Module tracks the distance between them, so an artist asking “has that come through yet?” gets an answer from the same record you pay from, not from memory.

Distributor statements as line items

The monthly statement arrives as a CSV with a few thousand rows and no relationship to your catalog. Imported as line items and matched to the releases and tracks you already have, it becomes something you can query per release, per artist, per period.

Why this is not a spreadsheet.

A spreadsheet holds the splits. It does not know the release date moved, that the remixer changed, or that the statement you just imported covers a period where one track was still unreleased. The numbers drift from the catalog the moment either changes, and nobody notices until an artist asks.

Finance Module reads the same catalog as the rest of Labelflow. The splits hang off the release you already created, the statements match the tracks you already registered, and the payments reference the artists already in contact management. Nothing is re-keyed, so nothing drifts.

Where it sits.

Finance is a paid add-on at €9/month once it ships, on both Label and Studio tiers, like every other module. Your catalog, releases and release analytics stay core. See pricing for the full picture, or the roadmap for where it sits in the build order.

Made for the music.

Not shipped yet. Worth queuing for.

Finance Module is in build, not in the beta. Beta is invite-only and beta labels get new modules as they land, so the way to be first through the door is to already be inside it. Get on the list.
